David Garriges is Director Ashtanga Yoga School of Philadelphia. He is one of the few teachers in the U.S. (and in the world) certified for Astang Yoge Yoga Master Sri K. Pattabhi Joyce. As Westnick Ashtanga, he teaches the idea that " anyone can practice " (as Sri K. Pattabhi Joyce said). He dedicated his life to sharing the beauty and spirit of Astang Yoga with everyone.

David ' s mission is to be part of an ever-increasing circle of people who have dedicated themselves to researching the living, modern tradition and the Goru Ashtanga Yoga line. He wishes to cooperate with enthusiasms, open and actively interested in teaching and applying guidance in a way that promotes physical, psychological and spiritual growth in themselves and in the surroundings.

It holds seminars, including Maysor Intensives and in-depth courses, in the United States and elsewhere. He wrote and recorded two CDs with kirts and made two DVDs on Ashtanga Yoga: Gid on First Seria. David ' s monthly blog on his mission will instil his videos and articles to inspire both the beginnings and the advanced practice. He recently released a new quartane album and a book +2 DVD, Viyu Siddhi: Hyde in Astang Yoga Pranyama sequence.

Please note that this is not a teacher certification course. Only Sharat R. Joyce of the KPJ, Astang Yoga of the Institute in Misor, India, can authorize and certify Ashtanga Viñas Yogi. Participants who completed the seminar will receive a certificate of completion but not a teacher certification.
